Breaking the Blogging Drought
With a mere few phrases or rather deep searching questions for a Monday night in early January.
I've just finished watching Sabrina and it's official; only black and white "golden age" Hollywood romances for me from now on. My next project will be figuring out how to replicate the situations in my own life. How can I convince the rich son of a business magnate to buy me trip to Paris and set me up with an apartment, a car and US $50,000 (adjusted for inflation)?
Isn't it romantic?
When can I be Audrey Hepburn? Can I change my name to Audrey in this present day and still be respected as the glamorous sophisticate I am?
Why does global warming not heat New Zealand but rather plunge Wellington into the most frigid and miserable summer in memory, the only relief to the cold dull days being the disgusting humid heat of the evenings?
Where is my blue tee shirt?
Where can I find more casual sex?
Will I ever be able to afford to buy Chanel lipstick?
Why does the New Zealand media fret so much over the idle musings of the acting Prime Minister, unnecessarily concerned by the reactions of the States when Anderton's done the only thing that has ever led me to respect him; and even that is merely stating the bleeding obvious. How many times a day is Iraq called a New Vietnam in common conversation? So many times.

This year, I hope you find all the answers Sarah, or better yet, the rich son of business magnate. Then you can buy lots of blue tee shirts. And Chanel lipstick.
ReplyDeleteHow many times have I heard them say 'Eye-raq'? argh.
