People, work, stuff
The longest day in history - every hour feeling like a thousand and despite being busy most of the time. Couldn't get the till to balance and ended up leaving a half hour later than I was supposed to. All I feel like is a beer but I'm supposed to be saving my money for tomorrow night so I'm sitting on it and trying to convince myself that my desire for beer is actually a desire for tea, or coffee, or a walk along the waterfront, or an evening in front of the tv, or in bed reading.
Still feels like beer desire, but.
C4 is covering the Big Day Out and it reminds me of this festival I went to in Western Australia about this time last year, called South Bound. I feel vaguely nostalgic about it but don't remember if I had a good time. I don't think I did, as the only thing I can remember with any clarity is being harassed for taking too long in the disgusting, foul portaloos by these totally agro, drunken, Ocker Australian guys.
Today my workmate Danny went quite hysterical from lack of sleep and made over the stuffed kiwifruit that hangs off the key ring for the bathrooms. It is now a superhero pirate kiwifruit with a wooden leg, a fish on its shoulder and a cape made of a paper napkin and decorated with gold stars. I did the crossword.
So, I have come to a conclusion about my plans: NAMELY, I'm going to make a cup of coffee, put it in my thermos mug and go for a walk along the waterfront and listen to my iPod. Fabulous. Hope the weather stays as delicious as it has been all day.
