Listening to Paul Simon and enjoying
- Sunshine
- New haircut
- Warm knowledge of a day at the beach to come
- Warm knowledge of a hugely fun evening the night before
Sooooooo much fun! I felt like I was twenty again. Screaming around corners with a too-full car in Kelburn, dancing like maniacs firstly outside at the Bot G to Ginger Brown, and then to electronic music and inadvertently touching the Drum and Bass girl within, having a shrieking in-joke with a girl I'd only just met about "feeling things in your SPLEEN, baby!". Long conversation with very-ex Chris, who spouted joy about being madly in love with his new partner... It's lovely hearing about people being happy. Often a tiny bit nauseating, but kind of lovely nonetheless, especially when a couple of bottles of pink wine and feeling flushed with the happiness one gets when enjoying good company... silliness... And a picnic with Bex and Cathy, and honeydew melon, and blueberries squished at the bottom of my bag, and a mild and vague flirtation...
And the beach today - Nat and Mark, probably, but it's just such an incredible day, looking outside. In fact, so pretty, I'll take a photo now and post it. Give me a second...
I can hear cicadas.
I need another cup of coffee.
I like hummus.
