Whangarei Motel Room

Good morning from Motel Villa del Rio! Mmm, tres classy methinks. But to be fair, I slept exceptionally well, defo no worse than the last Whangarei accomodation adventure, and there's free, non-instant coffee in the room. Also biscuits (which will be my breakfast later). And some quite fab retro New Zealand pottery under the sink, which I very graciously resisted the urge to swipe. Einfach fabelhaft darlings, now we're travelling in style. 

Just visited by my colleague, who stayed up late last night marking up files for us to look at, so another hard won nights sleep tomorrow I think. Driving to Kaitaia tonight, which is VERY exciting, haven't been so far up north since, well, you know. Since that trip with Andy some very long time ago.

Must finish tidying and applying face. Also, photos of the pool beckon. Isn't it fabulously tiled? And an outdoor spa. Was so pissed off that I'd forgotten my bikini and my Jackie O sunglasses... I could have lounged by the pool, late at night, in the dark and freezing cold.
