I know nothing about Edgar Allan Poe, except what I have learnt on Wikipedia. Oh, and also I saw that episode of the Simpsons where they dramatise The Raven (nevermore!)
The simple explanation for this post is that I was awfully fond of this picture, and wondered what a Victorian phrenologist would say about that tremendous forehead?
[*BONUS POE/PHRENOLOGICAL COINCIDENCE* Reading over the "Popular Culture" section of the Wikipedia article on phrenology, I see that Poe was known to reference phrenology in his work. Big foreheads must be good?]
