Verily, I remember the days in my first year of University when frozen daquiris were a Wednesday night must-have. Lizzie described them as alcoholic smoothies and we weren't going to say NO to something as conceptually brilliant as that. Related: I have a recollection that while drinking Tupelo of some men asking us, a group of nineteen year old girls pretending that we were terribly sophist, if they could buy us drinks - and spending us a fortune buying us a round of Strawberry Daquiris. I don't remember much else happening from that point though - chances are I caught the train back to Whitby. At the time we thought we were just such sophisticated Sex in the City-esq risque minxes.
Ok though, this is not a frozen daquiri. It's a random winter classic daquiri inspired by the recipe on Pink of Perfection but perhaps mostly by the fact I am craving summer and still have a fair amount of booze in the pantry. Winter = no limes, so it's a lemon classic daquiri (what a proper mixologist might call: A TRAVESTY OF A DRINKING HABIT). I'm enjoying it! TBH, It's actually quite a lot like a whiskey sour, but with white rum instead of whiskey.
I'm not even going to bother reposting the recipe as it just seems too cheeky for words. Please check it out though!
