THINGS I HAVE DISCOVERED THIS WEEKEND
- I like flavoured lip gloss a great deal.
- Weddings are more arbitrary and proceed more awkwardly than is generally made out.
- Amongst Alexis and Anna's friends there is no-one I would pash, drunkenly or no.
- Although I like the idea of wearing a vintage fur (ghetto fabulous style) it takes more chutzpah than I possess.
- I must work on acquiring more chutzpah.
- Aeroplane coffee is revolting, and is made worse by over-sugaring.
- Monique and I have quite different opinions on Oscar and Lucinda. I think that we have quite disparate taste in books generally. I will do more research into this matter.
- Nothing says "Breakfast at Charly's" more that avocado on toast and opera on the stereo.
- Polaroid photos simultaneously make everything seem more artistic, more tawdry and more glamorous.
- It is possible to buy a fake bonsai for $3 in Auckland.
- I like my anxiety pills very much.
- Strip clubs converted into "hip lounge bars" will still revert to their original state on Saturday nights, only with more dry-humping amongst the patrons.
My excitement at seeing a new sarah-blog was almost palpable. I had even resorted to reading back on very very old ones earlier for a hit of something 'new'.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Alistair and I were too hasty in discarding the television. I try to give the impression to my friends that I am so deeply immersed in reading clever and impressive tomes of literature that I don't need reality tv. Who am I kidding? At least I have albatrossstylesarah - way better than Survivor Panama Island.
I agree with bex. wholeheartedly. You have a commitment to your public Sarah, whether it be the public without reality Tv (really Bex, what were you tihnking?!)or the public with a desk job.... and bored moments in which they desire to be entertained by your witty blog repartee!
