  • Biscuits.
  • Bex's poached chicken salad for dinner.
  • Descending upon friends at the last minute.
  • National Radio.
  • Knitting.
  • Sleeping late.

My date fell through

Curse you WPC. My eye hurts.

I have achieved Date

I'm going to the City Gallery to see the Sam Taylor Wood and Peter Madden exhibitions with Work Place Crush on Friday after work. We swapped phone numbers. I'm stoked and am barely controlling my desire to gush. AND only one cup of coffee today.

Dreamboat Dreamboat why am I sixteen?

So, if you'll recall Work Place Crush... I thought that I'd got over this but apparently, no... He's also working at a town-based site now, I went down to see him today and I think that he was rather pleased to see me, AND here is the piece de resistance, Dreamboat almost asked me out; AS IN, I think that he actually did but I left without ascertaining whether he was just suggesting that I go to the beach in general or whether he was suggesting I go to the beach with him. Bugger. So close and yet so far away. This whole dating thing is difficult and time consuming. I wonder if he's the rich son of a business magnate.
~~~~~ ~~~~~ ~~~~~
(Go to my Myspace page to hear the song that WPC gave me on a CD that he copied for me. AND also listen to the lyrics. What does all this mean? All confirmations gratefully accepted). FINALLY no more gushing for a while. My next post will be very substantial.
Shame on my name
I'm promising myself no regrets as I lie in bed with a monstrous hangover - was embarrasingly drunk (and then embarrasingly throwing up in gutters all the way home from the bowling alley) and now I'm just wretched with embarrassment in general. Was going on a work do, thought it would be a good idea to have some quiet drinks at home, forgot to have any thing to eat, drank too much red wine/white wine/sake and ended up legless before I even got to the bowling alley and then was far too drunk to make aforementioned move (although I did decide it would be a good idea to sit next to him and basically slump in my seat drunkenly) and had to be walked home by my lovely workmate Mikey, at about nine o'clock. At 3am I woke up with my dressing gown draped over me, fully clothed, with a basin and a jug of water beside me.... Shame on my name. And now, catharsis complete, I officially write off any chance of scoring workplace crush. Need to sleep.
I am sixteen going on seventeen
And I have a big crush on a boy I work with. Not the annoying guy obviously. We copied CDs and swapped them! Tee hee. I'm listening to the music he copied me and dancing in my room and I'm dreaming about pashing him. As though I were sixteen (in fact, I think I was far to sensible to do this kind of thing when I actually was sixteen...) I have to adjust the level of crushness so I don't jump him in the back room at work tomorrow. Because sexual harrassment in the work place is not funny. *shakes head woefully* He's dreamy... *sigh*. After I've listened to this album I might listen to some sixties girl groups and see if they have any hot tips that I can use to score myself a man...
Ok. So...
I didn't know that I had posted that incredibly drunken little note the other day, re: the chicken chips and the mother that peer pressures. I thought I hadn't posted for a hell of a long time not since the Andy drama (thank you for your lovely comments). What to share - living in Central City Apartment, I'm surrounded by my glorious books and the new dresser set I bought when I moved back. It's a cane one; second hand, three piece (bed side table, dresser and stool that I can sit on while I preen). When my brother saw it he asked me which tiki bar I'd stolen it from, to provide you with a further and perhaps more descriptive image. Tonight I'm going to a work function (drunken midweek dinner at an Indian restaurant that I've never heard of.) I work with lots of fabulously attractive boys... so the meal should be eye candy galore (with the exception of Danny the Weasel who's weasely). There's a boy that I work with at the airport, and he's dreamy, I act very strange and tongue tied around him, not appropriately at all, and especially as he's exactly the kind of boy I had crushes on when I was fourteen. My mother did this whole reclaiming youth thing when she broke up with dad - so maybe my reclaiming youth thing involves me acting like a teenager???! In that case I profoundly pity you all as my blog will descend into "And I was like, Omigod, and he was like, no but yeah but no, yes! No, it's roolly, totally true." My project for tomorrow then is to come up with a more suitable blogging topic, one of the many issues people in their mid twenties are tackling with in contemporary New Zealand society.
