Stuff happens all the time

I'd like to say that I've been super busy, but really I've been super lazy and having repeated life crises. Made some decisions, invested in calming Kava tablets and am feeling a lot more centred. Wellington has been switching on the weather (the cold wet windy kind) and I have resumed working at the store I used to work at. All the staff have changed, I imagined socialising with all the girls I used to work with but instead there appears to be only very young girls that I have never met before and who seem intent on giggling about other people's personality defects and gossiping about boys. I, however, am far too engaged to giggle about boys. Really. And I don't know the people with the personality defects so that's no fun either. Actually, little girls gossiping and giggling makes me more inclined to stick to my commitment to living a more ethical lifestyle, a commitment that I waver backwards and forwards on. As in, I prescribe myself a set of guidelines to live that more ethical lifestyle, and I'm then hampered by either my laziness or my lack of funds, or politeness. Or all three. Or some other kind of necessity. Also, one of the girls is a raging right wing conservative political studies student, which I only know about through hearsay but makes me angry nonetheless. And today I'm having Christmas dinner with my mum, my brothers and my boy. We're eating little piggies. And mince pies. My mum organised the whole thing because secretly [checks that no one is looking over her shoulder] I am a Christmas geek.

  1. i must vouch for sarah's kava tablets. I ran away from the gallery yesterday a gibbering nutcase and came back (after a discreet visit to sarahs work, three blocks away) a slightly more calm nutcase... all thanks to the marvellous stoner-like properties of - dum dum duuuumm - The Kava. I remember trying this stuff for real in fiji when i was ten, this stuff hits you from the legs up, then between the eyes. Yeow!

Note for Abby, if she reads this: where's your blog gone? Must I actually email you to find out whats happening in your life?
