Post-APAD confessions
I still haven't got my camera back. Post-APAD I have lost my blogging mojo a little. I have super many real time projects on, as well as trying to build and transfer everything over to my new home:
selfconsciousposturing.com.
Gentlefolks, it is in the pipeline, very very slowly coming together (the speed is mostly due to my poor understanding of CSS).
In addition to this project I am clearing my wardrobe of dross in preparation for the clothes schwop of a few weekend's time. I am also getting crafty on my bad self; I made something with Fimo earlier this week. Can you believe? It's granite coloured Fimo. And the item I made is not a dinky brooch with a picture of a clown and my name on it. Also some sewing with gingham cherry and strawberry printed fabric and pale blue grosgrain ribbon. And knitting with my little French knitting thingy and a range of very very beautiful coloured cottons... I'm very experiencing Craft Anticipation right now. I rather adore making things, and I so want to make all my Christmas presents this year - the only thing that will mediate this, I think, will be time.
The final project in the pipeline is creating the vegetable garden in the raised bed that my lovely boy made before he went to India. At present, my lack of strength is preventing me from putting the last bag of soil in the garden... But I must suck it up, go forth and buy dirt. And vegetables. Being self sufficient must be the most amazing feeling - I want to feel that level of amazing! Last night I visited the Austin Terrace flat and their vegetable garden just blew me away - that garden is quite inspirational.
I love having so many big-little projects to occupy me, it's the pressure to Do that makes me unhappy. If I blog less often then, let it be known it's not out of lack of love but because I love being busy. Besides, then I have more to share!

APAD 12: A drawing for you all
After the hideous turn of events on Saturday night (i.e. Election Results) I drank and drank and drank and then left my camera at Colin's house. Thus, I have been unable to take any photos at all, much less one a day. And then I got all lazy on it. BUT, fear not, I am back, and backdating. Um, and getting creative with the APAD interpretation.

APAD 11: Martini
I can't decide if I like martinis better with pickled onions or with olives. Must be dry dry dry! Sake martini rates. Gin is my favourite, always.
This very good photo is not mine of course. I linked it: click and it will take you to the clever food stylist type man who did.

APAD 10: From my visual list of favourite things
Still negotiating getting my camera back. It's killing me I tell you.
An Op-Shop with Crown Lynn and Temuka. I don't know where it is. But look at all those tea cups!
I ♥ teacups.

APAD: Photo 6
Creepy "Foodstuff" found in the back of workmates car, and that, according to Wikipedia, is some kind of American icon.
It tastes a little like salt, but mostly like food-fear.
Actually, I kind of want real macaroni cheese now.

APAD: Photo 5
I FUCKING LOVE PEONIES. I love the way they form such a deliciously tight bud and then EXPLODE: thus.
*insert cheesy macro disclaimer here*

APAD: Photo 4
Guy Fawkes' Night, I had people to mine... you can see the whole city from my lounge room window. The fireworks were framed smack bang in the middle.
I was also like all "yo yo I'm DJ GT all up in your Hood, I'm gonna lay me down some phat beats for this kray-zee lightshow we got all over the sky out there". I played
- The Final Countdown, Europe
- Take on me, A-ha
- Teach me tiger, April Stevens
- Walk like an Egyptian, the Bangles
- Der Kommissar, After the Fire (very dire remake of the Falco classic)
And then we watched Lol Catz on Youtube. Kids are so crazy these days with their interweb.

A Photo A Day; photo one, day one.
The Boy is away, gone to India for a month. He flew out about six this morning. During this time I'll be taking a photo a day.
photo one, day one
I'm at home, listening to Ngaio Marsh audiobooks. Super keen on 40s/50s/60s genre literature at the moment (I'd love some Nancy Mitford audiobook action).
